How we started

I began to study Ayurvedic Medicine to help my daughter who was diagnosed with suspected Endometriosis.  Having suffered from the condition myself and a family disorder, I wanted to find better answers to help treat her and this often misunderstood disorder.

Through Ayurvedic medicine, improved diet knowledge and lifestyle changes, my daughter and I are now symptom free. During training for personal reasons I was able to help other family members with chronic migraine, fertility issues, digestive problems and I decided to change career to offer this proven support to more people.

For us to be freed from requiring medication and surgery for this condition I will be forever grateful to the Ayurvedic doctors and teachers who took such good care of myself and in my training. Dr. Deepika Rodrigo BAMS and Dr. Wathsala Wijesinghe BAMS. MSc.MD.  both who have practiced in the United Kingdom for decades enabling advancements and necessary adaptations of  Ayurvedic practice in the West. I am indebted to Dr. Jaime Stover Schmitt (Ed) and her team at Spanda Yoga Movement Therapy for extending my ability to help my clients move from pain or distress to return to a place where they find comfort in themsleves. They are truly explorative and vast in their work and enable programmes of care that are playful and powerful in their transformative response.

My patient work is an individual process every time. It is a privilege to help and see the transformation and genuine change to patients lives through Ayurvedic and Yoga therapeutic practice. I offer individually tailored yoga therapeutic programmes to help reduce pain, repatterining of unhelpful actions, tackle difficult issues emotionally and physically. All work we do together is at a pace to suit the individual.

M.A.P. has evolved as a clinical practice to create an umbrella to enable patients and clients to experience extended workshops, treatments and access other health professionals that may benefit their line of treatment.

It will be good to see you!
