Why
Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is one of the oldest and sustained, preventative medical systems in the world. It is recognised by the World Health Organisation and respected for its breadth of knowledge on the causative factors in ill health and instruction on well being. It has evolved over a millennia with a closely examined understanding that the body, mind and our environment are subject to constant change and its aim is to enable us to adapt to those changes well. It acknowledges that whilst we may have an issue similar to another, we may not respond in the same way. Our individual makeup and how we respond, adapt or improve has its preferences and working with these enables a sustained improvement. At its core, is a working knowledge of how certain plants, foods and practices can aggravate, create and alleviate conditions.
